DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Wei Chuen Loong
Mr Loong Wei Chuen is the Director of Finance based in Sydney office where he is responsible for the financial management functions in Australia and New Zealand. He oversees all matters involving finance and accounting, treasury, taxation and compliance, ensuring the alignment with M&L Hospitality’s strategy. Mr Loong has more than 20 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, taxation and treasury matters.
Previously, he was the Director of Finance based in Singapore office where he is responsible for the overall financial and accounting operations with an oversight of the financial matters in the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
Prior to joining M&L Hospitality, Mr Loong was the Group Financial Controller at Far East Orchard Limited, a member of Far East Organization, that listed on the Singapore Exchange’s mainboard. He was responsible for the financial and capital management functions of the group which has hospitality and property operations in Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Mr Loong was also previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Manager where he worked in its Singapore and Sydney offices. He was responsible for the statutory audits of several public listed companies and large multinational corporations in the hospitality, real estate, retail and consumer industries.
Mr Loong is a Chartered Accountant of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the Nanyang Technological University.
