Gwen Kum
Ms. Kum is responsible for M&L’s shipping interests. She currently sits on the board of directors of Saeed Investment Pte. Ltd, Halom Investments Pte Ltd as well as Koleth Winbuild Pte Ltd, Ran Barge DIS and Ran Barge AS. She provides valuable insight and advice on the basis of over 20 years of experience in the offshore marine industry.
Prior to this, she was Assistant General Manager and subsequently, Divisional Director of Transportation and Installation (Shallow Water) at Pacc Offshore Services Holdings Ltd (POSH) from 2010 - 2017, operating a fleet of 42 vessels and barges within the company’s fleet of 120 vessels. The fleet provided offshore construction support through its accommodation vessels, anchor handling tugs and offshore barges to offshore construction companies and oil majors in fields in the Middle East and Asia. Under Ms. Kum’s stewardship, the division saw an impressive return on its assets, with peak charter rates, record utilization and operational efficiency.
Ms. Kum began her career in the offshore marine sector in 2000 as Marketing Manager at Miclyn Offshore Pte Ltd, which later merged with Express Offshore Pte Ltd to form Miclyn Express Offshore Pte Ltd. During her tenure at Miclyn Offshore and Miclyn Express Offshore, she was responsible for the chartering of the company’s fleet of over 100 vessels and was instrumental in growing its revenue.
From 1996 – 2000, Ms. Kum was Marketing Manager at the authorized distributor for Porsche, Audi and Rover in Singapore, overseeing brand management and public relations for these car marques.
Ms. Kum attended Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Marketing in 1996.
